Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were decent for an overnight stay but had a stale, dank smell and hints of smoke. Although I heard about a previous bed bug issue, fortunately, I didn't encounter any problems. The service varied from being polite and helpful to encountering rude and unaccommodating behavior, especially from the night management. The location was convenient for quick hospital access but was adjacent to a less desirable neighborhood. Dining options were lacking quality, and there were missed opportunities like adding a jacuzzi. The overall value for the price paid was not up to my expectations.
The hotel looks like your average $50 motel and had definitely seen better days. Thankfully, I didn't run into any bed bug problems. The bathroom had some issues like rust and peeling wallpaper.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were clean and cozy, perfect for a quick overnight stay, but the musty smell was a downside possibly due to the lack of a bathroom fan. The service was professional and helpful overall, with a slight issue regarding item clarification. The location was convenient, within walking distance to downtown Norfolk, yet the proximity to a low-income housing area was a drawback. The dining offered didn't meet expectations, and the facilities were average.
